The disarmed light tanks Pz I Ausf.A were used as ambulance machines...Huge and already irreplaceable losses of vehicles, suffered by Wehrmacht during the first year of war in Russia (1941), have forced the German high command to use vehicles that were not quite suitable to solve transport problems. Use of disarmed light tank Pz I Ausf.A, which can be used as ambulance machine, can be taken as an example of such approach in filling up transport deficiency. The ambulance version of Pz I Ausf.A submitted in a set served in 6 shelf 3 tank division of Wehrmacht.
